Our Team

Behind every Frenchside translation is a person who cares deeply about language — its precision, its nuance, and the difference a well-chosen word can make. Here is the core team.

Benjamin Beaudor — Founder & English-to-French Translator

Benjamin started his career as a freelance translator specializing in English-to-French translation, building deep expertise in Canadian French across a wide range of industries (legal, technical, financial). That hands-on experience as a working translator shaped everything about how Frenchside was built — a firm where linguistic rigour and professional accountability are non-negotiable. He founded Frenchside to bring together the best French-language talent in Canada around a shared standard: translations that read as if they were never translated.

Liane Grant — Accredited Translator, OTTIAQ

Liane is a seasoned language expert whose work sets the bar for quality at Frenchside. Accredited by the OTTIAQ, she translates between English and Canadian French with the kind of precision that only comes from years of immersion in both languages and their professional contexts. Her documents don’t just convey meaning — they carry the right tone, the right register, and the right terminology for the audience they are written for.

Laura Weiss — Sworn Translator (France) & Apostille Specialist

Laura brings a rare combination of linguistic versatility and regulatory expertise to the team. She translates between English and French with equal fluency in both directions, and she has an encyclopedic knowledge of apostille procedures and document legalization requirements — a specialism that proves invaluable when clients need certified translations recognized across multiple jurisdictions. As enthusiastic as she is proactive, Laura is the person you want in your corner when the administrative stakes are high.

Rita Bonah — Accredited Translator, OTTIAQ

Rita’s defining quality is speed — without any compromise on accuracy. Accredited by the OTTIAQ and experienced in both translation directions between English and French, she is the translator Frenchside turns to when a project is large, the deadline is tight, and the quality requirement is absolute. Clients working under pressure will recognize her name quickly.

Jeremy Beaudor — Project Manager & Technical Lead

Jeremy is the operational engine of Frenchside. He manages quotes, invoicing, and client communications — and handles the full range of technical integration services that modern translation projects require: InDesign, PowerPoint, JSON, HTML, and more. A graduate of SUPINFO International University with a strong background in IT and web development, Jeremy ensures that every translation is not only linguistically perfect but delivered in exactly the format the client needs. French is his mother tongue. Being the team’s resident geek is a role he embraces fully.

And Beyond the Core Team

Frenchside works with a network of over 20 collaborators — certified translators, specialist linguists, and language professionals — located across Canada and in France.

In Canada, our contributors are based in Quebec, Ontario, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia, British Columbia, and New Brunswick. In France, we have a particular presence in Brittany — a region with a rich linguistic tradition and a community of talented translators who bring a distinctly European French perspective to our work.

This geographic reach means Frenchside can respond to large volumes, urgent deadlines, and specialized subject matters — wherever in the world the project originates, and whichever variant of French it requires.
